Vintage Salt & Pepper Sets

MERMAID/SAILOR This adorable very rare vintage set was made in Japan. It has a souvenir label on both which reads "Souvenir, New London Connecticut". The set is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, only minor paint loss around the Mermaid's breasts. Sailor measures 5 1/2"H and the Mermaid measures 4"H. Would make a great addition to any collection.

Little Miss Muffet

LITTLE MISS MUFFET This rare vintage set was made by Poinsettia Studios California. Nice colors on this set with gold paint highlights on Little Miss Muffet and silver paint highlights on the spider web. The set is in mint condition, no chips, cracks or paint loss though it does have extensive age crazing. What a find!

DAVEY CROCKETT AND DOG This vintage Davy Crockett hunting dog salt and pepper set has that 50's look along with corked bottoms and the "Japan" imprint on both. The young boy shaker (who has the coonskin cap like Davey Crockett) is carrying a blunderbuss and has vibrant colors. Both he and the dog are in mint condition with no chips, cracks or paint loss. The only defects I can find is some age crazing on the hound.

CLOWN ON DRUM This set is in excellent condition with minor age crazing on both pieces. Both pieces are marked "Japan" on the bottom in ink. The drum measures 1 1/2" high and is marked with an "S" on the top, the only defect I can find is a small pin-head sized glaze miss on the edge of the drum (factory flaw). The clown measures approximately 3 1/4" high in mint condition, with no chips, cracks or paint loss. Overall a very nice set.

SMOKEY THE BEAR One bear has a pail and the other a shovel. Both have a paper label on the bottom marked "Japan". Both are in excellent condition with the only defects I could find being one pin-head sized chip on the back rim of the hat of Smokey with pail and the Smokey with shovel has 3 pin-head sized chips on the rim of the front of his hat which have been touched up with paint to match (you really have to look to see them) on the back of the hat rim 2 more pin-head sized chips (again, you really have to look to see them, but felt I had to mention it. Overall excellent condition for a set this old.
